Reviews

We came across several reviews of the Outbound Dome Tent on Amazon. Here are some of the reviews that caught our attention:

  • Just what we needed! We were going on a camping trip, and my daughter informed us that our old tent needed replacement. We found the Outbound Dome Tent on Amazon and decided to give it a try. The tent is easy to set up, quite spacious, and perfect for the three teenage boys to sleep in. So far, we are impressed.

  • This tent is HUGE! We’ve used it twice now on 2trips. It’s front porch area is screened in and keeps the bugs out. Being for 8 people, it’s like a mansion. It arrived earlier than expected, and we are thrilled with the product.

  • I LOVED THE SPACE IT HAD, WASN’T HARD TO ASSEMBLE AT ALL, I WILL SAY ITS NOT GREAT WITH MOISTURE. IT LEAKED INSIDE OF THE TENT AND IF YOU HAD THINGS INSIDE LEANING ON IT, IT WOULD GET WET. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, IT SLEEPS GREAT!! This review highlighted the spaciousness of the tent and how easy it was to assemble. The only downside mentioned was the leakage, but it did not affect the overall sleeping experience.

  • I can only say it’s a great choice. We just used it this weekend and didn’t get wet at all during the Saturday that was raining. The inside was completely dry, and the perfect size allowed us to stand inside it with no problem. The only suggestion was that the porch area would have been more enjoyable with a floor attached to the tent.

Overall, the reviews suggest that the Outbound Dome Tent is a convenient and spacious option for camping, with only minor drawbacks. We are looking forward to trying it out ourselves.

Our Outbound Dome Tent for Camping is an ideal fit for those who want a spacious and comfortable camping experience. Our tent’s fiberglass frame system and ‘Easy Up’ technology make it incredibly easy to assemble and take down in no time. You can rest assured that you will have the tent up and ready to use in no time at all.

The floor of the tent is super sturdy with about a foot of ‘bathtub’ waterproof extension, so you won’t need any seam sealer. However, it is important to tack corners and all guy wires properly for the zippered doors to work correctly. You also get tent stakes, guy lines, and all assembly instructions needed.

Although some users have reported leakage during heavy rainfall, the tent’s heavy-duty 600 mm coated rain fly with a front canopy provides water and weather protection. Weather Resistance

Heavy Duty Coated Rain Fly

The Outbound Dome Tent for Camping is designed to provide excellent protection from the elements, thanks to the heavy duty 600mm coated rain fly. This feature ensures that you stay dry during even the heaviest rainfall, keeping the inside of your tent clean and comfortable.

Leak Proof Seams and Bathtub Floor

The welded leak proof seams guarantee that water will not seep through the tent, even during extended rainy periods. The polyester bathtub floor is also built-in, keeping water out of your tent. This makes it ideal for camping in wet and rainy conditions as it offers a high level of protection from moisture.

Moisture Concerns

However, some users have reported that the tent didn’t fare well when exposed to moisture. In some cases, it leaked inside of the tent and wet items leaning on it. While the tent does have waterproof features, it seems not to be ideal during heavy rains. It’s important to note, though, that this doesn’t apply to all users’ experiences and it doesn’t take away from the tent’s overall great features.

The Outbound Dome Tent for Camping with Carry Bag and Rainfly, Easy Set Up & Water Resistant, 3 Season is an excellent product. Overall, it is perfect for camping and backpacking, especially in dry weather. The ample space and the easy set up make this tent an excellent choice for families or large groups. Cons

No Internal Structure to Hang Things From

One of the cons we found in the Outbound Dome Tent is the lack of internal structure to hang things from. This means you won’t have any hooks or loops inside the tent where you can organize your gear or hang up a lantern. However, this can easily be solved by bringing some S-hooks or carabiners to attach to the gear loops on the ceiling.

2# Is Too Much for the Center

Another issue some users have mentioned is the heaviness of the tent at the center. The fiberglass frame is sturdy but can be cumbersome to move around, especially if you’re trying to set up the tent by yourself. We recommend having a second person to help with assembly.

Screening Is Super Sensitive to Sparks and Embers

Finally, some users have reported that the screening on the tent is susceptible to damage from sparks and embers. If you’re planning on having a fire near the tent, we recommend being extra cautious with the placement and making sure to use fire-resistant materials nearby.

Despite these minor issues, the Outbound Dome Tent is still a formidable choice for a spacious and easy-to-set-up camping shelter. Its strong frame, roomy interior, and weather-resistant features make it a great choice for families or groups who want a hassle-free camping experience.

Customer Reviews

Great for All Weather

We just used the Outbound Dome Tent this weekend and it didn’t disappoint. Despite the rain, we didn’t get wet at all inside the tent. Plus, there was plenty of room for us to stand up inside, even when it was raining. We really like the size of the tent and how easy it was to set up. The only downside was that the porch didn’t come with a floor that could be attached to the tent. But overall, it’s a great choice for all weather camping.

Large and Spacious

This tent is HUGE! We used it twice now and it’s perfect for our family of four. The front porch area is screened in, which keeps the bugs out and makes it a great place to take off our shoes. It does need a tarp underneath where the shade part is because it’s just earth without it. But that’s a minor detail. Being for eight people, there is plenty of room for us to move around inside. All in all, it’s a great tent.

Easy Setup and Sturdy

Setting up this tent was a breeze, even for one person over six feet tall. The tent is also very sturdy and can withstand high winds and gusts if oriented and all the guy wires are secured. However, the screening is sensitive to sparks and embers, so be careful. The tent itself doesn’t have an internal structure to hang things from, but it’s not a major issue. The rainfly is easy to manipulate for full or partial coverage. Overall, we appreciate the size and ease of setup of this tent.
